Am I required to sign up for a full week of camp?
No! At SCOR, we want our camps to be flexible enough to fit busy summer schedules. We allow single day registrations!
How many counselors do you staff?
We make sure to schedule enough coaches so that a group of children never exceeds a 1:12 ratio for camp.
What is your refund policy?
Effective January 1, 2018, SCOR will no longer offer refunds for camps. We can offer any missed camp days to be applied to a future camp. Any missed camp days MUST be reported to SCOR within 48 hours to receive their credit.
I just realized I have nowhere for my kids to be today. Can I just show up?
At SCOR, we do have the ability to accommodate “Drop-ins” for camp! If you are able to call the day before to get registered, please do so, but we understand that life is unpredictable. We do allow same day drop offs.
I see you offer half day camps in the mornings, but do you offer an afternoon half day?
We absolutely offer half day for the afternoon! The times for that are 1pm-5pm. Please note that the afternoon half day occurs AFTER lunch, so please make sure your child has eaten before they arrive.
Do you guys provide snacks and lunch?
We do provide snacks for morning and afternoon snack. These include animal crackers, Cheez-Itz, Fruit Loops, etc. Your child is more than welcome to bring their own snacks if you’d prefer! We offer a camp lunch for $6. This includes one slice of Papa John’s pizza, chips, and a drink. Again, your child is more than welcome to bring their own lunch as well.
Will my child need sunscreen?
The facility is completely indoors and air conditioned, so your child will not need sunscreen. If the weather is great, we do have the option of taking the kids onto our outdoor field, but it is completely covered so they get the outdoor feel, but none of the sunburn.
My child is 3 and signed up for Lil' Kickers camp. Can they stay full day?
No, to stay full day a child must be at least 5 years old.
It seems like a lot of activity. Do the kids get a break?
Absolutely! We realize the day is very high energy, so we have built in snack breaks and water breaks to help make sure everyone is doing well! We also have a Lego table and a coloring table for children who might need a little breather from all of the activity. Children are encouraged to tell the coaches when and if they need a break. We have seating outside of the field for kids who need a quick recharge.
Can I drop my child off before 8:30?
The earliest time to drop off is 7:45am, and you MUST be pre-registered for early drop off. It is $10/day.
Can I pick up my child after 5pm?
Late pick up is after 5pm-6pm. All children MUST be picked up by 6pm, and there is a $10/day charge.
I'd like to be considered to be a camp counselor. What are the steps?
We are always looking for fun, loud, energetic, and exciting coaches! You must be at least 16 years old to apply. Email email@example.com with an updated resume and a cover letter explaining what you like about working with children, and what you feel you’d be able to bring to the team! From there, you will be contacted for an interview.
CPR and First Aid experience is a huge plus, but we will be getting certified prior to camp.
My child needs hours volunteer hours for school. How can I go about this?
We love to offer volunteer hours to outgoing, sports oriented individuals to assist with our camps. To volunteer at camps, the child needs to be AT LEAST 15 years old by the start of summer camp. To be considered, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the header “Volunteer for Camps” to get more information.
I signed up for one camp, but I'd like to switch to a different one. Can I move my child?
Absolutely! Just give us a call, or let us know the day of camp and we can make sure your child gets into the right camp!
